Search Tour
The Search tab allows you to access the Search Menu and various commonly used Search features. Note
the menu below indicates many of the CUSTOM SEARCH features found on the Detailed Custom Search
page.
The Search menu includes many search features, as well as INSTANT SEARCH, CUSTOM SEARCH,
ALIAS SEARCH, WHO'S ONLINE, BIRTHDAYS, and more. See the SEARCH tab for various options.
If you know a member's alias, you may use the ALIAS SEARCH to enter a member's alias or partial alias.
The DETAILED CUSTOM SEARCH allows you to search by many different criteria,
and allows a 2-way compatibility match, match by interests, and match by exclusions.
The search results list displays Ruby members first, then Sapphire members, then
Teal Free Trial Members, then Free Basic Members. The sort order you have selected will be the sort
order used within each grouping.
Compatibility Matching: The results list, using the Interests checkbox,
will show the percent compatibility match.
If you selected to use the Zip Code Radius search, the distance in miles will also display in the
search results list.
The results list will indicate how far this member is from your zip code. (See "Distance," under "Country," below.)
Notice in the above mini profile, you may select the BLACK BOOK icon to add a given member to your
Little Black Book. You may use the Little Black Book link from the SEARCH tab to display
those members saved to your Little Black Book. Within your BLACK BOOK SETUP,
you may rate a member,
save a comment about them that displays with the mini profile and member profile,
or you may optionally BLOCK them from contacting you.
Use the View Profile link to display the member's entire profile; optionally in a new window.
The results list indicates if the user is currently online and the last time online.
You may also see where they are online: Search, Mail, Profile, etc.
