Just wanted to thank you for your site. I met someone from your site and am planning to be married to him on October 14, 2000. I enjoyed the time I spent on the site but will enjoy my husband to be even more :)

Jim and I wrote for about 7 months before I made a trip out west to visit friends of mine that lived about 5 hours from where he lived. Jim came down both weekends that I was there. Then about a month later he came out to the midwest to spend ten days with me. Then I went back out west on the 4th of July to visit him and meet his family.

He asked me to marry him the Friday before July 4. I had already decided that I would marry him if he asked me but I did not expect him to ask that weekend. But I don't think he expected to ask either so we were both surprised. But not as surprised as our families and friends. Everyone has been pretty surprised.

It has been a lot of fun. I am certainly glad that I decided to give Shining Star a try. Thank you again.
