Dear Nannette and Larry,
I did not even send a smile to gardenmusic (Tabitha) when she showed up on my first search because she obviously earns more money and is more educated than I am. When she saw my birthday pop-up and read my profile, she contacted me.
Our profiles show that we do have a lot in common. I was born on 8/18; she was born a month and a day later on 9/19. We learned that we both came from a family of five consisting of four girls and one boy, of which we are each the youngest. We each have three children. Our oldest both have the middle name Nathan. Our youngest both have the name Joelle and they were both born in December- five days apart. During part of the year her three are the same ages as my three. Between December 2 and 7 this past year their ages were 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, and 31.
But more important than these interesting coincidences, is the fact that we both love spiritual activities. We have each been on three mission trips and were both in the Dominican Republic the same spring before we knew each other.
When we had our first contact, I was on my way from Hawaii to a national singles camp in Idaho. I told her I would be passing through the Los Angeles airport on my way back home. She was able to give me her contact information, so after we talked on the phone, we agreed that it would be good to meet in person. Our first date was at LAX--how romantic. We did not want to spend a lot of time writing if it didn't have any potential for a permanent relationship so we met early in the relationship.
During the following year she came to visit me in Hawaii twice and I came back to the mainland to meet her family and introduce her to my family. When I returned to Oregon last spring, to build a log home, she used her vacations to come up and help me.
We got married October 2 in Oregon and then had another reception at her home church in Redlands, where we are presently living. Thank-you CSD for making this possible. We both found your site very user-friendly. The profiles, searches, and birthday pop-ups were successful.
Thanks again and God bless you, Gary Gibson & Tabitha Abel (GaryGibson and gardenmusic)
