A dear friend of mine, who is married to my cousin, is trying to establish a relationship with God. She has been studying the Word of God and she is longing for the presence of the Holy Spirit in her home and also for wisdon to understand God´s will and the strength to carry it on.
She has asked her husband to join her in her search of the truth, for she wants a real change in the family´s life by incorporating Jesus and God in each and every one of their daily activities. Since her husband belongs to the Catholic Church he is seeing her search of the truth as an agression to his believes, and when dealing with topics such as image worshipping, the Sabbath and eating healthy he has become more aggressive than he was in the past.
He is emotionally aggressive and there is not a single kind word from him toward his wife (as a matter of fact he is being extremely rude to her). It is a complex situation but, in summary, he places money and wordly things above her.
Likewise, there is pressure from his part for her to work and make more money (he says he wants them to bevcome rich) by working at a company at which she was very successful in the past, but at which she is not willing to work anymore because "earning money no matter what" is the philosophy of such organization (it is a MLM company), and she believes it is not compatible for many reasons with her current Christian values. On the other hand, the husband earns an excellent salary, more than most people in the country he lives in and more than enough to sustain his wife and two daughters. Please pray that he takes the pressure away from his wife, since all she wants to do is keep her actual role of housewife and taking care of her husband and two daugthers as she believes is God´s will.
Please pray for this couple so that they can find together the true path to God and that they all can accept Jesus as their personal saviour. Please pray for patience for the wife and for a change of heart in the husband.
I have been a witness of this relationship for several years and they need a change. Only God can bring a true change into their lives!
