Actually, it's ok to date as many people as you want to as long as you are being honest with people and not making them think you are in a committed relationship. You date to get to know people. That's how you make an informed choice.
When you're buying a car and look at one model you're not being unfaithful to that car to look at others, are you? Then why would it be any different in making then even bigger decision of selecting a mate???
Talk to ALL THE PEOPLE YOU CAN!!!!! However, once you have selected someone that you really wish to get to know and want to date exclusively to see if it will lead to marriage then you should guard that relationship tenaciously by not getting to know any further people with romantic intent.
The key is... "is this a committed relationship or not". Ask yourself that question (as only you know the answer) and structure your actions accordingly.

My self, personally, I have a problem with the whole issue of "dating", but will admit that is my bias. I've seen so many games people play. But I do believe there is lots of room for many friendships with all kinds of people, both male and female. As long as everyone is honest and knows what's going on, there is nothing wrong with talking to a dozen men, though there might not be enough time to do it in. A friend of mine used to do what he called "friendship dating." He would take female friends to any number of occasions and events -- and everyone knew it was being done as a friend. When he decided he wanted to get serious about one woman in particular, every one else knew it. He had been such a friend to the rest that no one got bent out of shape about it, either. That is true Christian finesse. If you're being honest about it and both men know you are also talking to someone else, why not??

I just ended a relationship, across country one, in which this was the subject. The situation was different as we had become quite serious and discussed marriage in the future, visted each other several times etc....We had both made clear that we had cut off all former web communication with others, but come to find out after 5 months that he still was talking to 5 other women. It hurt VERY deeply..your situation is quite different. I think that it is an area to be quite careful though and depends upon the discussions and agreements that you have if it gets more serious, until then, no I don't think it is wrong.

If you are talking to someone on the phone regularly is this dating? I have 2 people that call me, but I haven't met either one in person yet. My son told me he didn't think it was fair to date 2 people at once. But is talking on the phone dating?
