I asked several of our military on this site about where we could send letters. Our Sabbath School class juniors, earliteen, and youth, and the leaders wrote letters to soldiers.
One member, ski12, wrote me this. It was so cute, I had to share it, I hope he doesn't mind:
... I do not have the overseas address with me...but I can definitely get it to you..they would love them..The kids that wrote us on our way to war were so cute..ha ha this kid wrote me and said thanks for dying for our country ha ha...and another said I hope you dont die too bad..!!! we loved their letters..!!!! ...thank you for your patriotism!!!
I also found a few websites collecting mails and online mails to send.

Here are some suggestions for writing your letters:
1) Handwritten, legible, and one FULL page in length. If you must type it, at least sign it personally. No one likes form letters.
2) Letters should not mention political, religious, or other controversial subjects.
Write as many letters as you wish, but each one must be at least somewhat different from the others.
Hints of things to write about:
1) Who you are and what you do
2) Your family
3) Your friends
4) Your hobbies
5) Your pets
6) Sports
7) The weather
8) Your job
9) Movies you enjoy
10) Books you enjoy
11) Your favorite television shows
You may include your address and/or email address in case they would like to write back to you.
